In the direction college football is headed, OU or any SEC team will not have to be a top 4 to make a 12-team playoff. The SEC has dominated college football this century, and the expansion of adding Texas and OU only enhances the strength of the conference.

There isn't any reasonable College football fan who assumes OU will win conference titles as often in the SEC. But there are College football fans that are questioning the future. I am taking for granted the NIL money will largely remain unchecked, but the Supreme Court stated as much with a 9-0 vote.

The Transfer portal seems reasonable in a free country. The direction to repair the system will take original thought. I suspect the easiest way to improve the system is a tool that enables any football prospect to turn professional akin to baseball and Basketball.

That brings College football back to a sustainable model and an expanded playoff. A three-loss SEC team should look like a top 12 team in the future. When OU arrives in the SEC, they are in the same conference as the rest of the SEC teams. We get it. There is depth in the SEC, but all that will matter in the future is making the playoffs. Akin to the Big Dance. Playoffs bring money into a conference, so the SEC voted for conference expansion, not once but three times. Money fuels everything.

If nothing else, the SEC has made several intelligent business decisions that have caused some anxiety in the non-SEC schools.

So you think you'll be ok because they will expand the playoffs and that'll give Oklahoma a chance to beat the SEC teams they lost to during the season.

Because what we've seen from Oklahoma so far is they really come alive in the playoffs right?
