No he didn’t - he threw out the money changers whose job it was to exchange coins with (what was considered by the priests) idolatrous images of Caesar. These were then “exchanged” to holier coins the priests were allowed to handle without “sinning”

They did so while crowding out the temple designated for Gentiles forcing them out

That’s what sent Jesus into a frenzy

Shutting people out in the name of “holiness”
