Think of the time Saul tell Jessie and Walter “ it wasn’t me, it was Ignacio, did Lalo send you?” As he thinks henchman have kidnapped him and are gonna kill him in the dessert. Curious if in this instance he’s referring to the BCS s 5 finale where nacho betrays him or if it’s something else that goes down

Later on in BB, Gus tells Hector that all the other Salamanca’s are dead, so Lalo dies at some point anyway. Just not sure when

both lalo and nacho could be dead before that dialogue, but saul just isn't aware. mike just told saul that his guys were going to kill lalo and im not sure how much saul even knows about nacho being a double agent at least by the s5 finale. for saul to think lalo sent them gus/mike must learn the double cross hit failed and inform saul. you are also correct, lalo is going to be eliminated, but saul will not know that it occurred at the time of the dialogue you mentioned.

nacho said to don eladio he doesnt want to live looking over his shoulder, and lalo knows nacho was his betrayer. this is absolutely ripe for a lalo vs nacho showdown. maybe nacho kills lalo and gets disappeared as his reward. maybe lalo kills nacho and don eladio thinks nacho was getting another cartel to start wars like the biker gang war for territory he discussed with don. perhaps don eladio kills lalo for allowing such a double cross.

The fallout from this failed hit is obviously going to be a big part in the final season. it has to be resolved in some fashion where the don eladio cartel isn't going to war with gus because that didn't happen in BB. so don eladio never finds out that gus sent the hitmen.
