I’m not good at reading your mind, but my best guess is that you think Roman society is a template for a good life.
So, you’re good with wars of conquest? Mass slavery? Massive amounts of torture as punishment or simply for sport? Widows and unwanted children literally left to die in the street? Use of young boys as sex slaves? And on and on I could go.
