That being said, we gave up 632 yards of total offense and 44 points to Mississippi State. They averaged 340 yards and 21.4 points per game on the season.
We gave up 586 yards and 45 points to Mizzou. They averaged 402 yards and 26.7 points per game on the season.
Meanwhile..

Total Defense
Mississippi State - #5 (389.7 ypg)
Mizzou - #8 (408.0 ypg)
Scoring Defense
Mississippi State - #6 (28.1 ppg)
Mizzou - #9 (32.3 ppg)
Both teams basically had average SEC defenses and below-average SEC offenses.
