The absolutely do. I used to date an RN that worked on the cardiac floor. She said she seen cases every single week where a doctor would recommend cracking a chest open where going through a vein could have been possible. The difference for the doctor: about $10,000.

Yeah bc the RN knows just as much as the cardiothoracic surgeon. Plus how would she know how much the surgeon makes? I promise you he doesn’t make 10k on it. Plus endovascular cardiac procedures pay well too for much less work.

the doctor isn't making 10,000 on a surgery like that.
