I was fishing marsh - mainly just fishing reds in shallow water. In Bay St. Louis I was strictly fishing the Bay. I could run across it in small whitecaps with no problems though. Around the Rigolets area I was fishing the ponds at Rabbit Island, all around Little Lake, and I’d run around Lake Borgne fishing ponds in the marsh. My Lake Borgne ponds were about a 7 mile run from the mouth of the Rigolets, so I’d just run parallel to the shore a few hundred yards out. I launched at Crawford Landing on the Pearl River and run around 25 minutes down river til I hit the Rigolets, then run around to different spots from there. Perfect little boat for that sort of thing -especially since I mostly fished alone or with one of my young kids so launching and handling everything by myself was a breeze.

Exactly what Ill be doing, probably never alone. Just have a 7 year old that needs to get outdoors.

Thanks for the info, been searching for a boat but was looking for bigger stuff.

I fish alone 90% of the time. An 18' aluminum bass boat is a cinch to launch by yourself. On an empty ramp I can be launched tied and parked in 5 minutes if I don't have to walk far.
