Realistically, Winston had two games pumping up his stats in the first 7.

Outside of the opener (5 TDs, O INTs), he went 9 TDs and 3 INTs over 6 games.

Take out the WFT game as well, and he had 5 TDs and 2 INTs in 5 games.

Since he didn't really play a full game in the TB one, he went 4 TDs and 2 INTs in his other 4 games.

He also threw for over 200 YDs in only half his full games.

He is not as bad as some believe, but others really need to pump the brakes on how great he was last year. He will hopefully have more weapons this year, but to be honest, it simply is a guessing game at this point. Would have made more sense to lock him in on something like a 4 year deal with the maybe $25 million guaranteed and basically burner years in 3 and 4 that allowed him to be cut with minimal dead money. That would have been the best for the Saints.

This shite is always so dumb.

"Take out his really good games and he wasn't that good!!!"

I am not tying last year to him when projecting. Sean Payton was conservative to a fault in his 7 games. I think that was the gameplan, considering how elite our defense was and how terrible our receivers were. I think Jameis is a top 15 QB when running out of a traditional offense.

This seems silly. So you can nitpick and adjust stats all day long.

This is a great deal for the Saints. If he doesn't work then it's not a huge amount committed. I believe he is better than most of the other options at this point. You can still draft a QB if one falls or you can always draft one next year.

My only concern is coming back from injury. I always have this concern with any player. However, most players these days seem to come back stronger.

Who did you want that is available?

Well take out every game but his first and he has %100 touchdown to interception ratio. I mean it's stupid to say that JUST as it's stupid to take out good games

Lol you really pulled up his stats. But exclude certain games to paint a picture.
