These tests are given "in person," in rooms large enough for 100 or more students to gather. Also, many of this school's students have their own health problems, which is one of the primary reasons the kids are enrolled in this school. And finally, several teachers on staff are considered immuno-compromised, so school leadership believes this policy is for their benefit as well.

I am under the understanding from several teachers that state testing was administered in person last year during a point in time when cases were at a higher rate with no vaccine requirement.
