I think he wants to play for Atlanta but knows their roster is trash and is worried about being stuck in a terrible situation like in Houston. Saints are the clear better option but there might be too much Falcon in him to pull the trigger. This thing has dragged on so long I could care either way at this point.

I think this is exactly what’s happened. He knows he should play for us and would win for us but his heart is in GA and wants to make it work but knows they don’t have a great track record

Yep. He also knows this trade will cripple the Falcons for the foreseeable future as their roster is not nearly as good as the Saints at this moment. Without those picks it will be very difficult to rebuild quickly. I wouldn’t be surprised if Blank is pushing the Falcons GM into pursuing this trade. It really doesn’t make sense for the Falcons and their below average roster.
