Trent Johnson was a "quality guy." LSU could probably get him to come back and finish in last place again. Johnny Jones LOVED LSU, and was a good man. There has to be a ton of top talent out there he could get (buy) and waste.

I'm an LSU basketball fan. I'm not looking for them to hire my best friend. I'm not looking for them to hire my kids' role model. I can handle those things. I'm looking for them to hire the guy who wins and increases my enjoyment in watching the game. And I could not care less (and neither could you if you were being honest) if the next HC is a complete horse's arse..or if he "cheats" and doesn't get caught. As long as he wins. Because while we can pretend it isn't, college basketball is nothing more than a multi-million dollar entertainment business tied to the university.

If quality PEOPLE are your top priority go watch 5th grade girls basketball. There are a lot of quality men and women coaching out there. But for college basketball, give me the guy who wins FIRST because "quality" people who lose don't get banners hung or courts named after them. They get fired in 3-4 years.
