The bottom disk "old HD" has that extra 101mb space that I want to combine and it says it will make it a dynamic disk if i do it. So if I click yes it just says operation not supported. Looks like all the stuff I want to combine(extend) is on the left instead of the right side of the lettered drive.

Your unallocated space has to be on the right for you to be able to combine it. Don't ask me why; I genuinely have no idea.
With that said, we're talking about 100mb out of a total of 1.5TB. Not sure I would stress over that too much
