How in the world is utilizing the fossil fuels we have and becoming energy independent telling refineries where they can buy their stock?
That implies we can't sell those supplies on the global market while we buy the supplies to generate our energy from foreign sources.
Perhaps I'm not understanding what is meant by, "utilizing the fossil fuels we have" in the context of the fact the we already utilize domestic supply - as well as foreign supply. Is it being proposed that we do things differently, or not? Because it looks to me like people are saying we shouldn't use foreign sources. I'm not sure how to accomplish that outside of telling refineries not to buy foreign sources.

No it doesn’t. You are inferring that based on your own idiotic biases.
But the fact remains, if government got out of the way and let us utilize our own resources, it would go a long way to reducing foreign dependency…and you don’t have to force companies to sell on certain places to do it.

Talk about being disingenuous. Are we utilizing our supply as best we can? Are utilizing it in an efficient manner? Is the government not blocking increased production?
Sure, we use domestic supply but it is complete bullshite to imply that we can’t utilize significantly more.
