Have the chance to get a HK 45C from a buddy for what I believe to be a really good price ($500), and it looks nearly new, maybe a mag through it tops.
I know HK’s are top of the line, but concerned about a compact chambered in .45. Seems like a lot of bullet for the frame.
Anybody shot one or own one?

Really loud but shoots great. If you don’t want it I do. I also have the HK USP tactical with the threaded barrel in .40 cal. All around great guns. Keep me posted on what you decide. I wouldn’t pass it up

Have seen a few. Never shot one. I have an HK-53 in .556 for sale for 52k right now at the store. It is pre-ban and full auto. You must possess a Class 7 license to purchase it. Wait....did I just advertise on TD? Chicken is going to ban me now.

I have one. Great gun and shoots like a laser. It’s a big compact. I like you bought on a good deal for $600. For $500 you should have already pulled the trigger lol

I was hoping for these responses. Obviously I had already googled pricing and knew it was a steal.
Working on getting it tomorrow, will keep y’all posted

Just made the deal on lunch break.
Gun has definitely been shot but not much at all.
$450 and getting a full box of Hornady +P, I feel like a bandit

I have a HK45 Tactical. The gun is solid no question of that. The fullsize HK45 is indeed large and the compact isn't what I normally call a compact. The ergos are a step up but trigger could use some work.

If you can get it for $500 for a basically a new one, I don't see a downside. If you get it and don't want it, you won't have a hard time selling it.

HK tests their pistol barrels to like 100k shots. I wouldnt worry about the round count. Its an HK. They are top of the line.

I was looking at one to pick up tomorrow but are they all "MA Compliant" or is that just a low capacity one that a local shop happens to have?

There is no magazine with greater than 10 round capacity for any HK45 variant; however, the tactical versions are a no go in MA since it has a threaded barrel.

Not sure about the HK 45C, but I have an HK P2000SK in .40 caliber and absolutely love it. It is a bit large for conceal carry, though.

Edit to the ammo. Actually brought me a full box (50) of Hornady Critical Duty .45, a box of Federal.45 FMJ , and a full box of 9mm Critical Duty for a Glock a bought from him about 6 months ago.
I know ammo is scarce right now, but price of the ammo alone from ~1 year ago is over $100.
Wife is pissed and doesn’t understand that I’m basically the Jeff Bezos of ammunition right now.

People use to demonstrate wealth by clothes and cars. Now it's ammo, wood and toilet paper.
