Russia, like the US, China, and a few other countries, cannot be occupied. We couldn't occupy Iraq, so it would take an even bigger bout of insanity to try to show that Napoleon and Hitler weren't examples we should pay attention to.

Also, Russia has a shite economy and is no threat to Western hegemony.
