Depends if a full tear or partial tear. A full tear will usually mean the nerve is injured in some way that’s painful the moment it happens. A partial tear is usually the tingle all the way down to the ring and pinky fingers. You may just think it’s muscle related and try to throw another pitch. Then you feel the nerve and it’s really painful.

This doesn’t sound right. I doubt the nerve pain is that uniquely specific based on a full or partial tear. Are we talking about Tommy John here? Because that’s damage to a ligament and not a nerve
