LSU MUST lose to Florida

OK bear with me.
I think the majority of Tiger fans can agree on 2 things:
1) SEC Championships are nice, but we are riding a talent wave, and National Championships are realist goals right now.
2) It is almost impossible for SEC teams to go unbeaten these days (save Auburn in 04).
Based on these two assumptions, a loss tomorrow would not hurt LSU one bit (unless it's an absolute skull fricking).
Lose tomorrow, and win the rest, and they are GUARANTEED a BCS Title game shot. A loss to Bama, They may not make the SECCG. A loss to UGA, may be OK, but a home loss is worse than a road loss.
Prediction: LSU loses by 7 tomorrow, and gets revenge in the SECCG. They then beat OU by 14 in Miami.
PS: The above is logical, but also bullshite. Go Tigers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agreed that a loss tomorrow would not be the end of the world, but I still want to beat Florida.

not for me, pal. i have one goal every year and that is for my tigers to represent the west in the seccg. the n.c. is just a vote.

I think a national championship is extremely ambitious with a new, RS freshman QB, a revamped secondary and having to play the likes of 'Bama, UGA and UF during the season, and then playing UGA or UF again in the SECCG. Naturally I'd be happy if we got to Miami, but I don't expect to.

You do realize Oklahoma lost their conference championship game in 2003 and still made it to the NC. When the loss occurs is a factor in human polls but not as much with computers.
My fear is Oklahoma and Missouri will finish the season unbeaten and regardless of the Big 12 championship game outcome, meet again in the BCS championship game. USC loses again, SEC beats up on each other, and this could happen.

His point is if we HAVE to lose a conference game, this is the one to lose. This is true. However, it's retarded to say we MUST lose one.
