Ukrainian President Vlodymyr Zelensky admitted he was not confident of a positive resolution, adding that he owed it to his people to at least try and engage.
He had been reticent to agree to talks in Belarus, a country used as a staging ground for the Russian invasion and which is now poised to join the war, offering instead to meet in Istanbul, Warsaw or Baku.

Its amazing that all qe see is the same pics of convoys of tanks and then the same blown up tanks on the road

Tell me it's not going well without admitting it's not going well, Russia!
The Russians don't have the strength to take Ukraine 'peacefully' and without civilian casualties.

Russia needs help from another nation bordering their target just to take on little old Ukraine?
Guess ol' Vivi's military force isn't as strong as he thought.
I can't pick a dog in the fight though. Putin is a KGB spook with the nearly unlimited power and funding of an entire government, and Ukraine has become naught much more than a massive money laundering machine for the American political uniparty. If there is a viable option for them ALL to falter and fall, then THAT is what side I'm on.

More fodder for the slaughter. This really sucks. Too many good Russians and Ukrainians dead. Belarusans will join the ranks of the dead too. We should be making these people our allies.
