Reminds me of a Polish joke.
A Pole finds a magic lamp and is given three wishes.
For each wish, he asks that Poland get invaded by Mongols.
After all three invasions happen, the genie asks why he is so happy.
The Pole says “They had to cross Russia each way to do that.”
