Well from the sound of it Russia is making progress on one front and poised to attack in different spots as they stretch ukraine's already thin lines.
What a waste of humanity on both sides when the inevitable is clearly in site and has been for quite some time.

Irrelevant, really, to my question...
and I don't believe any of the details about the deal to remove the nukes in Turkey and Italy were known and confirmed until the fall of the Soviet Union... and nobody really knew they were there at the time.
"We" just promised (quietly) not to keep arming the Cuban ex-pats who were trying to overthrow Castro (and people will forever think that group played a big role in his assassination)...
The world thought Krushev blinked, and that dented the USSR's rep and eventually got him removed.
But the point is there were no American politicians taking the Russian/Cuban side... kind of like you are doing now
