This won’t give Ukraine the ability to take back what was stolen from them right now, but from a geopolitical perspective, tonight seems to show that the US is in this for the long haul, even when Trump gets back into office.
They better stop fricking around from here on out though, and get things straight, and come up with an actual plan to deter Russian aggression.

What gives you that impression? It took forever to get this passed and that's with the vast majority of it going to replenishing the DOD stocks. Biden is going to have a real hard time telling Americans we're throwing another $50-100 billion at Ukraine right before the election if they're still losing ground.
I'm not sure what will happen if Trump wins, he doesn't like to lose, but there might not be any real practical options to help by then. I wish he would stop saying he could end this in a day, we're well past that point.
