$800 million package announced now. The announcement does not say how many DPICM rounds are included.

Another 28million small arms rounds.

How many are actually being used in a given day/week/month? I know we arent the only ones sending the smaller caliber rounds… i dont know why this piece fascinates me so much.

Not sure if this has been shared yet but the Czech Republic is sending Ukraine combat helicopters as well as f-16 simulators so Ukrainian pilots can train on the f-16 while still in Ukraine. That’s a pretty big deal since the exact process of integrating f-16s into the Ukrainian Air Force is taking longer than expected in how and where they plan to do official training at. Now Ukrainian pilots can have a little head start before they leave the country to train, hopefully reducing the time it will take to make their pilots combat ready.

That’s a really solid weapons package. I was surprised to see 31 more 155 mm howitzers on there. I assume they will be M777 from our current stocks but we really don’t have a lot of those guns to be able to send beyond what we have already sent. We still have M198 howitzers in storage that can be brought back to working condition, I’m not sure why they haven’t pulled some of those out of storage instead of sending more of our M777s.
