The HIMARS crew spoke about the non-stop day-and-a-half operation
Journalists had the opportunity to observe the work of Ukrainian rocket launchers. From the moment they arrived at the position to the actual missile launch, 30 seconds had passed.
Reloading of the missiles in practice takes up to 5 minutes, writes WSJ.
The vehicles are constantly in motion and have not returned to their respective military unit bases for several months.
The Ukrainian military assured American journalists that so far, no HIMARS has been destroyed by the Russians. At the same time, M142 operators became more cautious after the appearance of Iranian kamikaze drones in the Russian Armed Forces.
The Ukrainian officer shared that in recent weeks, they have twice decided not to enter the strike position as they received information about the proximity of enemy UAVs.
Ukrainian HIMARS are protected by Special Operations Forces and air defense units.
