You're welcome. Heads up is season 2 kind of went off the rails imo.

Hell yes it did. I liked that show, but man it got weird.

ETA: Thinking back and looking up old threads about WP, I'm not even sure if I caught the second season or not. But the first season got weird for sure.

I don't get epix anymore. But when i had it with cable package i liked it.

Perpetual Grace ltd and Godfather of Harlem were fantastic shows.

They should put em on Netflix or something a year after release. Just so people can actually see it

Exactly how I described it to my kid. We used to love watching that show together.

I hope it doesn't go the way of Lost and keep introducing more questions with no answers.

Minor spoiler:

I'm curious as to why the creatures can't get in unless you invite them. The little girl knew it wasn't her grandmother at the window, but she opened it anyway

Watched the first two episodes, and I’m all in. This show has a cool vibe and I’m definitely interested and invested so far.

I didn’t like when the little girl in E1 opened the window. The mom should’ve bolted over to her and grabbed her as soon as she opened the door and saw the girl at the window talking to the grandma. Seems like she just stood there and watched it happen instead of making sure it didn’t. And damn, the sheriff was brutal when he took the husband and shoved his face up close to his mutilated wife and daughter. Yikes.

As long as they keep setting the mysteries, giving some sort of explanations (or even guesses) of things here and there, and moving toward a conclusion, I’ll keep watching. Love the feel of it so far.

Spoilers:

They can get in without an invite. Those stones keep the houses protected but you have to lock the doors and windows. What i wanna know is why that girl Sara is killing people and letting those things in to other peoples houses?

I’m watching E4 right now. Really liking this show a lot. I wonder at what point Jim and Tabitha are gonna sit the kids down and really explain what is going on. Seems like that may be the surest way to make sure they don’t do anything stupid, like be out at night or let grandma in the window.

I really thought ole boy in the box was gonna hang himself at his daughter’s swing spot.

The Jade storyline with him thinking it was all some big game went on way too long IMO. I was wondering when they were just gonna show him his dead buddy (boyfriend?) and be done with it.

Of course Julie chooses colony house to frick her family. And then she immediately regrets it. Stupid teenagers.

I’m betting the crazy peaches dude is into something with the trees moving or whatever.

Really interested to see where this show goes. I’m digging it a ton so far.

ETA: so Jim and Tabitha lost a kid (Thomas). I wonder how long that ghost will try to tempt one of them into opening a window.

Like it too, there’s so many questions it has a lot of potential. What did Jade see in that cellar? What was that kid at the end of Ep2 that Ethan saw in the window. Is it one of those things and how was it out during the day? Why didn’t the monsters just grab Julie and the others on the porch at colony house? How did they figure out the stones kept the creatures out and who discovered that because the sherif doesn’t know? What are the markings on the stones?

Note: I've watched the first four episodes, so this discussion below is based on that...

It took me a good bit to realize that it wasn't Ethan himself. At first I thought it was, but it appears that it's just another boy. And clearly there is some connection to Victor as well.

Speaking of Victor, apparently he was the only survivor in the town at one point. And they flash back to him as a kid when everyone else looks to have been murdered. How the hell did he manage to survive as a kid alone? Like how the hell did he figure out what to do (and not to do)? I am interested in that angle and hope we get some explanation or they show a little on how he learned to survive.
quote:

I wondered the same thing. It looks like the monsters sort of do what they want with very little rhyme or reason. The grandma in E1 burst in as soon as the girl opens the window and murders her and her mother. But then on the porch at the colony house the ghosts just sort of meander along the porch and give them all time to get inside. Weird.

I have to assume we will get some explanation/backstory on that this season. They made a point to throw in a comment about how the sheriff is the one who found the stones. I'd love to see how that happened and some of the process of them figuring out how shite works around there.

Any idea how many episodes are in S1? I assume 8-10 since that seems to be the norm. Also, I was "catching up" on the show yesterday and didn't realize that only two episodes have aired. You can watch up to four on demand. So now I am through E4 but it doesn't air for another two weeks, so I have to wait and I'm kinda aggravated.

I want to know where did Boyd find the talismans? Looks like that entire ordeal was horrific.

Watched the first two episodes and will continue. It definitely has whispering pines feel before it went crazy.

I love how the townsfolk would let newcomers drive all day

let them drive all day and when they wouldn't give up after a while, frick it get out the spikes .

Yall notice how the creatures look like they are from the 50's and almost black and white? Houses and architecture in the town are also from that era, for sure related.

watched the first episode. I like these kid of weird unusual shows.

i mean, they didn't waste any time killing off people.

figured one of the stoners would die but, not like that. What's up with that skinny hospital chick?

Looked at the certs. no nudity. i'm disappointed. The rv mom looks to have a nice rack.

Not 100% but I think it’s a 10 episode season and I’m in the same boat as you, I’ve watched the first 4 and will be stuck now. The questions keep piling up and I’m hooked.
