I’ve owned $omi for over 2 years. I’ve been in the app since the day it launched over a year ago. I’ve had all of the best NFTs on the app and sold a lot of them way too early, honestly. That being said, my veve portfolio is still worth a substantial amount.
Not having the MTL to this point has been a problem, but I was selling gems and collectibles off-app for quite some time until the rates dropped to 0.5 or so recently. That being said, standard cash out options should be available in a month or so.
The ip is there. The fandoms are there, the liquidity is there, which is how they differ from random NFT drops. The users are there and growing every day. I don’t think that the current rate of winning a drop and immediately selling it for 10-100x is sustainable long term, but I do think that the app and the collectibles will have long-term usage and viability, especially when they give us their version of the metaverse (veveverse) that will add gamification to the NFTs.
It’s interesting and it’s high risk/high reward. I’ve taken a decent amount of profit, but sticking around a bit more.
