Question for the thread: if you had to assign blame for the first lap incident with Zhou, who would you blame?
I say Gasly for going for the gap.
Russell was being squeezed from his right by Latifi, but I suspect many will say him.

Funny you ask...
I have been wondering same question!
Is Gasly wrong for attempting split after he saw Latifi do the move?!?!?
Or
Is Russell wrong for closing gap after Gasly was half way through?!?!?

I don't see any reason why Russell did what he did, he had a ton of room to the right. I assume he just never saw Gasly

Race starts are chaotic and drivers weave sideways all the time. The danger occurs when someone gets a bad start and people are trying to get by. It was ruled as a racing incident, and that was what it was.

I appreciate the Thread's participation, without hesitation, nor any hater-ation.
Much respect.

This one goes into pretty in depth detail about what happened on that first lap crash.
