Honore Lane off of Siegen. First house on the left behind the Siegen Inn motel, directly behind Jason's Deli. They sell shiners and crickets from the back porch of the house.

This may be the worst business model I have ever heard of.
Crickets off the back porch of a sketchy house off a sketchy road that has no traffic?

An old black guy started raising bait for his own use and for his friends and family, but had a bunch and started selling to the public too, by word of mouth. He ended up getting really sick and died, but his family still sells bait to carry on his memory. They don't do it to make a bunch of money, but it's one of the few places in BR to buy bait. Cash only, but been going there for years, they're good people. Not many other places in town that sell shiners. Only other places I know of on the south side of town or Ascension is Cabela's or Ascension Living and Outdoors, but they're both hit or miss. Gotta drive to Port Vincent otherwise.
