Yeah, crazy how that can happen. Bands can be absolutely massive in one part of the world and then come to the States to only in play in front of 5-6k venues.

Slade is a band I think of like that. Absolutely massive in the UK, plenty of #1 hits, inspired a number of mega-popular bands ranging from Nirvana to KISS, but never made it big in the US. I hate to say it, but there's probably not a person I personally know and could ask, "Hey, do you know who Slade is?" and get an affirmative answer.

Wild that a band could have such highs at a certain time and place and then be so obscure at others.

Sort of also applies to Robbie Williams. UK's best selling solo artist ever, can sell out stadiums all over Europe, South Africa, and Australia still to this date. Had three songs that got minor airplay in the US
