It's not dumb because shade is dumb. It's dumb because it's completely impractical from a cost standpoint. And, it ignores the point of this thread...that full stadiums is a thing of the past. All improvements should be in the lower bowl where they try and get more per ticket than they used to.

With the current way the non-premium fans are treated it will be. That doesn’t mean you ignore everyone but the clubs and suites.

How does it not improve the lower bowl too? You’re going to need new lighting soon anyway and the extra shade won’t just be for the upper decks. Not to mention trapping more noise.
