Today, I might my drive on a par 5 and ended up in what looked like an old divot, just a really crap lie.
Pulled my Ping 7 wood, hit down and through it , ball flew straight and ended up 15 yards from the green for a easy chip.
Love the versatility of that club.

My 7 wood has 24 degrees of loft.
It launches really high.
I can hit it about 160-170 on average +or- 10 yards.
I notice the newest TM 9 wood had 24 degrees of loft.
I guess each year lofts keep getting dialed down.

I have a Frankenstein TM M6 9 wood that I built. It's 24*.
It's absolute money out of the rough. I have a TSi2 7 wood as well that's 21*

I love mine. It’s so much easier to hit than a hybrid with a much better ball flight for me.
I saw the post in the other thread about PXGs being ugly. I don’t think this one is bad at all. I love the look.

At the end of the day, if a club fills a gap and goes a certain distance predictably, it is a useful tool.
I prefer woods to hybrids. Not sure why.

My 5 wood is 21 degrees.
I guess when I get new woods it will be 15,18,21. Now I’m 15,21,24.

My old 7W cobra was a gamer! I had that thing 20 years ago. I loved it!
If my 4h ever lets me down, I’ll be getting another 7W

For me, the 7 wood out of the rough is much easier than my hybrid.
