It's not limited to conservatism. Ideologues of any stripe are people who have given up truth and logic and locked into making decision on the basis of emotion and tribalism. It happens on both sides.

It's not like it's the first time. In the not so distant past people have bought into things like burning witches and heretics, starving out huge percentages of their population, exterminating people on a mass production scale, etc. etc. Nobody can accuse the human race off uninterrupted rationality.

Right and common sense tells us that the real death count from COVID is likely about 50% of the reported numbers when you factor in co-morbidities. Considering the information we now have available from the past two years we know that every person a hospital could get on to a ventilator equated to a $12K bonus to them from the government, and once you go on the ventilator with full blown COVID you don't come off of it. We know that straight up negligence and medical malfeasance has also contributed to the count.

Now also factor in the number of deaths related solely to the vaccine itself. Numbers which are increasing at a profound rate now that data is spreading worldwide despite the intentional coordinated suppression by the media and pharmaceutical companies. Athletes dropping dead at an unprecedented rate never before seen in history.
