A cane fan on the Rivals recruiting board is claiming dmitch has said Randle will not be coming to LSU, it will be Miami or Alabama.

quote:

Will not end up at LSU. Go to Vegas and bet the house

Miami or Bama

quote:

Guy from our scout site, who basically is our top insider who I'm good friends with, hung out and talks with dmitch all the time said this today.

Bama fans chimed in like they are hearing the same.

Anyone care to comment?

I just can't see Bama... just can't see it

Maybe The U or even USC, but choosing Bama over LSU when they already have Julio Jones for the next 3 years would be puzzling

Obviously RR is playing it close to the vest, but I was hoping one of the other two would weigh in.

I think it's safe to say that the entire fanbase on this website would have an epic collapse if he were to go to alabama. But realistically i agree, just don't see it. I'd say us, the U and USC

If you get riled up by every thread started by an opposing fanbase regarding one of our top targets, you are going to have a long wait until February.

I'm so tired of this shite. LSU is way bigger then 1 player and if he wants to come here fine.... if not go somewhere else. He has to look out for HIS best interest, and if HE thinks its with another school then that's his decision and he will have to live with it. He seems like a good kid and he has to make a decision that will better himself for the future. LSU may not be the best school for HIM. Time will tell

Actually, the thread went downhill quickly. One Miami fan put in his 0.02 and said the Scout moderator didn't say that, and that the guys was a mole.

i know les miles is doing his part with randle. at the game friday night he got to see randle make two 50 plus runs for touchdowns and les was more excited than anyone on the sidelines. their were alabama coaches and oklahoma coaches their but nick saban wasnt there rooting him on like les was. i know that has to mean alot to rueben.

Going to BAMA would actually be perfect. He and Julio on the field at the same time would make the double team almost impossible and it would open one of them up most of the time. he would start immediately at BAMA just like Julio did and he knows it.

I think he will choose BAMA over Miami.

If you have ever read anything that DMITCH writes then you would know that that was not DMITCH!

Only problem is bama doesn't pass the ball and it will only get worse next year.

I disagree. It would be a blow, but we've all seen it coming. If RR decides to go somewhere else, the "silence" from RR about LSU should've been a huge signal to all of us and we should've been prepared for it for a long time coming now. I'm not a recruiting insider, but from the stuff I do know it's not going to be a huge shocker if RR doesn't choose LSU. When a in-state recruit doesn't have a lot to say about the flagship school in the state, there is a reason for that ... he doesn't want to take hell for a year.

Not to mention we'll still have a Top3 class even if he doesn't come to LSU. It softens the blow considerably.

That is a reasonable point, but who will be the QB to throw him the ball? Star Jackson? AJ "3-16/58 yards/Int" McCarron? Saban has done a very good job building up the program over the past two seasons, but one weakness they will address over the off-season is the QB position. JPW isn't exactly a first round draft pick, but he is good enough to get the ball to Julio or RR. I imagine there will be some growing pains next season since Star is still a fairly raw QB.

I've never understood why many Bama fans have claimed 2009 would be "the year." Bama is going to suck in 2009 for the reason you just pointed out ... they don't have a QB. 2008 is the year for them ... if they don't win the SEC this year, I don't see them winning it until the earilist being 2011.

I think we'll have a harder time next year because we'll be replacing our two best O-line players. Caldwell and Smith should be leaving and I think thats hard to replace in one year. JPW has been solid but it isn't like he's been the focal point of the offense. When the team is running for 300 yards a game and has great O-line play, there is a long list of QB's that could play well.

However I think our defense will be better next year. The holes at LB and DL seem to be going away.

Before the year I thought we'd be ok in 2008. We'd be better on defense in 2009 but have problems at QB and maybe OL. I thought in 2010 would be a really solid team. If Tyler Love is a legit 5 star to replace Andre, then I think the pain will be lower... however I didn't expect us to play so well this year so I'll just wait and see.
