One of the greatest hard rock guitarists ever, Frank Marino, fronted this three piece band.

Saw them as an opening act in late 70's or early 80's. Have a couple of their albums. 1978 opened for Styx at Assembly Center.

How the hell did I miss that? shite. Had a chance to see Frank in ‘82 with Joe Perry Project and Nazareth but he canceled. Still bummed about that.

That concert sold out in a flash. I remember going to the arena the day of the show to get tickets, but no luck. Finally saw Styx the next year in the Centroplex, but never saw Mahogany Rush.

Here's Mahogany Rush covering Port Allen's own Slim Harpo.

One of the best surprises concert wise I got to experience. Opened for Aerosmith in ‘78. Supreme rock and roll. Great energy 100% of the whole show. Aerosmith was smacked out and sloppy. Oh yeah, and loud.
