Am I the only one who doesn't like that Hatch will play

this weekend? I can't be.. right?
Now that Lee has earned his spot as the clear cut leader of this team, why take the ball away from him at all? Just doesn't make sense, especially since Hatch is no where near an SEC caliber QB.

Where did you hear that Hatch is going to play?

But Hatch can run the ball effectively. I trust him with the egg much more than I do JJ.
We will need him to take 20% of the snaps and run some options and such. FLA will HAVE to prepare for it, now, so that really helps us as an offensive unit.

As long as he doesn't get knocked into 2009 again, I do like his ability to take off with the rock and to be able to get out of possible sacks- there was one play at AU that I am STILL trying to figure out how he avoided getting sacked, and he took off for the first down.

Nevermind, just found it,
"The Tigers practiced three times during their open week. The workouts were concluded with a lengthy scrimmage last Thursday. Miles gave the team the weekend off following a conditioning run Friday morning.
"The off week went well," Miles said. "It was a very productive time. For the most part, we healed. Everybody, but one, should hit the practice field (Monday)."
There is a chance that defensive tackles Charles Alexander and Ricky Jean-Francois and linebackers Darry Beckwith and Kelvin Sheppard will all play against Florida. Those four players were held out of practice last week due to injuries.
For the second consecutive game, Jarrett Lee will open at quarterback. Unlike the Mississippi State game, Andrew Hatch will be available for backup work. Miles stressed that both quarterbacks will probably play against the Gators.
"Jarrett Lee will get the first look," Miles said. "He is continuing to come. He has had some practices like he's had games. Then, we'll bring Andrew in. It may be the second series, the third series, or later. Who knows?" "

Any practice time that Florida has to spend on Hatch or J.J. is a distraction away from Lee who will take 80-85% of the plays.
J.J. on the play action would be nice. UF would have to assume he runs. Just tell him to put the ball out there and let Byrd run under it. If its picked at least it is far down field.

Why waste time criticising Miles' management of the game before the game?
Posted on 10/6/08 at 6:06 pm to milestoothtiger
If Hatch starts it is for one reason. We plan to
run,run run and control the ball and eat up time on the clock. Will only pass when just have too.
Keep the ball away from tebow.

trust the hat.
its worked out for the most part so far.
although I wouldn't be opposed to having keiland run the "wild tiger" a play or two ala ronnie brown from the dolphins.
would be a nice wrinkle.

Ok, how about this. THE BEST THING THAT CAN HAPPEN IS A TOUCHDOWN!
Does that help???

I have no problem with Hatch running the first two series, before handing it over. You know he isn't going to turn it over. Let Scott and Keiland pound out 10-14 pts. If Hatch doesn't get hard PT, if Lee goes down we are screwed.

okay, but I'd much rather see Lee throw the deep ball than Hatch or J.J.

I would feel better if JJ didn't touch the ball at all this game.

Why would Hatch start? What's the upside to starting a guy who hasn't played ball in three weeks?
We would not have beaten Auburn with him in the game and Lee on the bench. There's no passing attack. Please, do not start him...and please, do not take out Lee if we have a sucessful scoring drive.

My main point is that if Hatch OR J.J. are in the game UF will anticipate RUN! Therefore, let one of them AIR IT OUT on a playaction. J.J. has a much better arm than HATCH and therefore that was my logic.
Geaux Tigers!
