Yep, been fighting my wife's 11 since she got it (new). ALL updates fail and corrupts the IOS.
Several restores, with update via ITunes, have to take place before one will finally take. Hope you back up daily.
edit: turn off auto-update. Let it download but you need to manually install so you can back up first.
