That's the thing, though. They use "speeding" or other tickytack BS as their probable cause and naive citizens allow them to search their vehicles.

I think it was this article, but it could have been another, that said they were arresting people for possession of a joint and giving them a charge for possession of marijuana and a paraphernalia charge on top of that for the rolling paper it was rolled up in lol. Even charging one guy for a jar that "once possibly contained marijuana" and tray that "may have been used for rolling joints". That's just fricked up.

I get it, reefer is illegal in AL, but that's just ridiculous. Even the sheriff said he's never seen things charged the way they do things there.
