Those could be italian cypress. I have arborvitae that look similar and I love the privacy they provide. Can't wait for them to grow a few more feet though.

While I'd love the bamboo and have enough yard for it to "roll over" and not take up too much yard space I think it's just gonna be a pain in the arse to upkeep.
