I have seen several responses in other threads about hoping that Miles is not making a mistake.

I know he has others on the radar that are great atheletes but this is my opinion. I Sentimore grew up in La. and has been an LSU fan his entire life I think he will play much more with his heart when he puts on the purple and gold. You can not measure heart with a stopwatch or in the weight room. If I was a football coach and I had a shot to get two guys, one from my state that has been a fan his entire life and one from another state, I would have to go with the home kid if the talent is comparable.

Just my opinion.

i think if sentimore was from oklahoma we wouldnt be this up in arms, it means a lot to us that he wants to be here and didnt choose us per say. it different with kids like that, i really hope he ends up here and he will end up being a damn good player regardless, hope it is at LSU.

When you are in the running for two of the top 5 DTs in the nation (and you already have a verbal from a third in the top 5), you can afford to keep a kid like Sentimore waiting.

Scoop, agree 100%. This can come back to bite the home school in so many ways. This could create animosity toward LSU from his friends and family. It could also damage relationships with the school's coaching staff. And now we have one of our own at a conference school recruiting against us. I'd rather see this kid in purple and gold.

who knows

If we get #1 and/or #3 maybe we will be ok.
Being on all of these national guys lists is kind of nerve racking. I just hope Shep talks them all in!

Unless Bama intends on taking three DL, then Jamar Travis of Brewton (AL), is gonna feel real bad. I mean, he was just ranked one position lower than Sentimore.

Then there is poor Brandon Moore of Montgomery. 4 star DT.

With your logic, Bama just screwed two poor kids from Bama to take one from Louisiana. LSU burned on bridge vs Bama's two.

Another point, if Sentimore was "a LSU fan his entire life" then his heart should have told him to get his grades in line.

I wish the kid well where ever he lands. Looks like the kids has the tools, but needs to get his head in line.

99% of the kids that play football in La. want to go to LSU. You can't sign them all. At times OL and DL are hit and miss. Les has done well with the hits.

I think everyone here would agree 100% with that but what does that scenario have to do with Sentimore? Sentimore is an academic risk plus LSU is recruiting a couple of guys that they feel would be a better (and qualified) fit for LSU. If the numbers work out, LSU may offer him and he will then have a tough decision to make I suspect. I think he made the best move to protect himself and wish him the best.
