I posted an update on another post, but I'll write a more detailed one here.

So the floors look excellent. Damage to baseboards is minimal and requires just some slight touch-up painting and reinstalling of the quarter-round molding (which is to be expected).

However, we had this work done while we were out of town and there was dust everywhere in our house when we returned. Literally every single surface has to be cleaned including bedrooms that were nowhere near the demo site, objects inside drawers, all dishes in our cabinets, food items, etc. Just about the only things that were untouched by dust were some linen closets and some drawers in our bathroom a few doors removed from the demo. This is even after we closed doors and hung tarps as they recommended.

I took pictures and talked to the customer service team. They agreed that the debris left behind was not what should typically be expected. Sounds like the guys who did the demo possibly took advantage of the fact that we were out of town and weren't as careful as they normally are. We paid 60% downpayment upfront and I told them I didn't want to pay any more for the hassle which they agreed to.

So the question is: would I recommend them? I'm honestly not sure. If you go with them, ask them upfront what all is to be expected of cleanup afterward, and ask them to be specific about dust in other rooms. I'm very curious how things are normally supposed to go.

So yes the house was an absolute mess, but the extra $$ we saved definitely eases things in my mind.

Definitely look into getting some sort of air scrubber or leave a fan in a window to blow dust outside. I feel like that would definitely help things out.
