Issue with Kidd is that his teams only finished top 10 in Offensive Rating five times in his career with three of those top 10 offensive rating seasons happening with prime Dirk as his teammate. It would be like a QB who played 20 seasons in the NFL leading his team to a top 10 offense only five times in his career. Yeah, his teammates might have been garbage and his coaching might not have been the greatest but an elite QB shouldn't have any problems leading his team to a top 10 offense regardless of the situation more often than not. Same with a great PG in the NBA.

There aren't many players that are a Top 10 offense by themselves alone. Lebron, Steph, Harden, and KD are at the top of the list in today's game that are an offense in and of themselves alone.
That's fine and all to cherry pick a stat like top 10 offense, but Kidd was able to be the best player on a tram that made the finals. Russ can't say the same.
