Seatbelts are an example of a government requirement for personal health issue that generally doesn’t improve the lives of anyone except the user.

Though a much thinner argument, some would place prostitution and personal drug use in that same boat (I do not agree with that sentiment.)

Wearing a seatbelt can materially affect the other party’s (or drivers) liability in the event of an accident, that liability can extend to criminal if a passenger is killed in an accident.

And I remember people fighting against seatbelt mandates as well
