What exactly is ‘time-tested’ for a new pistol mfg?

Update. So here is what I am talking about. At the 4:50 mark there is an issue…..one that can happen on any gun. Trigger pin issue. It could happen anywhere. I guess.
Another trigger pin issue. 10:00 minut mark.

The PSA Dagger is a glock clone.

So we know the glock design is time tested successfully for decades.

The glock design is a standard reference for polymer striker fired pistols (as are many, many other mfgs).


But to the novice (me), designs and manufacturers are not the same.

The glock can be cloned, but is the clone time tested? No.

I hate to being up the p365 striker drag issue, but time hammered that issue out.
Do y ou foresee issues with a clone that only time will inform us about?

These days…….how long is time tested?
