It’s a new world - You do NIL

Find/Raise $ and pay $

That said, if you’re the NIL employer, you have a contingency contract in place. Pay for performance and tenure.

I don't know how the rules work, but I suspect there will be a lot of "the official ____ of LSU Athletics" marketing going on.

Meaning, LSU pays some business to be "a partner", and that payment then goes to NIL deals. I'm sure they will have to word it just right, but it's going to have to go down that way. You can count on some boosters, but not every business is going to spend millions on getting LSU's players for them. Not every year, which is needed.

Great point that the NIL contracts may become the anchors that keep kids from transferring if they have tenure escalators. However, boy is it going to be muddy when sponsors start point-blank pressuring (bribing?) coaches to get their guy on the field more often. I can imagine the CEO of Tabasco calling CBK and TELLING him to not take Walker Howard out in the 2nd half of blowouts or else Tabasco will “sponsor” Howard’s transfer to another school. This likely is going to be the wild west
