The NIL crap along with players being able to transfer at will and the conferences and playoffs expanding, it’s safe to say CFBs best days are behind us. If the sec does that stupid pod thing when OU and Texas join, I’ll be bummed. Getting rid of rivalries that have been around for generations is just down right disappointing to me. I always thought I would take my kids to games in Death Valley against teams like FL Auburn and Bama.

Yes, I am not sure if people realize that LSU is likely being booted over to the SEC Big 12 Pod very soon, further diluting the rivalry aspect of being a fan.
Every step they take away from amateur athletics and towards pro is closer to minor league NFL. Last I checked the USFL, XFL, World League all sucked and got zero tv ratings. They’re killing their own golden goose which is 100% calibrated to a connection to a school. If a player doesn’t have it neither will the consumers.
