Because one more game this year will cost him a full year

I’m sure his plan is to win the starting job

If he can’t beat out Myles then he’s likely going to transfer out

I thought they could redshirt any year. Didn’t Myles redshirt his sophomore year? Myles played his freshman year before they allowed you to play 4 games to redshirt.

t redshirt next year behind Myles?

Good question. Didn’t Myles redshirt his sophomore year once Burrow took over in 2018? I think some have a misconception that the only year you can redshirt is your first year on campus. I might be wrong.

Yeah that’s why I deleted it. I had my thoughts mixed up.

Because he will transfer and be somewhere else as a RSF.

Who's gonna be the backup behind Myles?

He could theoretically redshirt as long as he doesn’t play more than 4 games next year. If Myles can stay healthy he can still be the back up and just not play 4 games. Injuries obviously change that and the game plan would change.

Walker Howard
Walker Howard
It doesn’t matter if Howard gets a RS.
Myles leaves after next year and Howard becomes the starter as a Sophomore.

Brennan didn’t come back to be a backup. Barring another injury he is getting all the first team reps in the spring and fall camps and will 100% be the game 1 starter.

He will. Then he can redshirt 3 more behind Howard. Then, if he’s lucky, he can work on his PhD and redshirt a few more years behind some other guys who want to come in and play.
Hmmm? What to get the PHD in? Decisions, decisions…

Jesus - do you mean we're gonna have to listen to all this bitching about a RS again next year? Howard is redshirting.

Why would he do that when Myles has yet to play more than a handful of games in a single season? Crocs aren't any safer for Myles than flip flops, as they get slick as owl shite when wet. Nuss is better off staying put and seeing plenty of playing time.

As a player who was exhausted his eligibility after the 2022 season.
