I have consistently watched deer pass within 15-20 yards of where I parked the Tacoma about 500 yards from my stand this year. They always seem to pass closer to the truck than my blind.
My observation from many years of hunting in Texas is that driving up in the ranch truck and they often didn’t pick their heads up, drive down the ranch road in any other vehicle they weren’t used to and they would haul arse. The best solution would seem to be our electric cart, but we can’t keep it running long enough to really prove it.

Thankfully for us, we have a lot of oil and gas contractors that cut through our ranch and it allows use to drive whatever we want and not have to worry about anything.
