quote:2 of those guys are only rotational players because we don't have better players. NAW and Kira are not good enough to be rotational players on a legit team.
Well the entire core of the team besides Val is all under 26 of BI(24), Zion(21), Herb(23), Graham(26) Hart(26), Kira(20), NAW(23). That’s 7 rotational players.
quote:Murphy is young, and Jax is the same as NAW and Kira, it's been 2.5 years and he hasn't proven he can be a nightly rotational guy.
Plus potential young talent in: Murphy(21) and Hayes(21)
So we basically have 5 young guys plus Murphy.
The truth is young or not so young doesn't matter, we need better players. We're playing multiple guys every night who are far below average players.

The truth is we have constantly changed coaches and reshuffled the roster due to roster changes and injuries. All of this coincided with the changes due to Covid-19. If the team got healthy and pushed everyone to their natural position in the rotation the Pels are probably looking more like a mid seed in the playoffs with developing young players.
The whole Lonzo thing was weird, but I wonder if griff was just trying to rid himself of the toxicity of Clutch and JJ’s whininess about the organization. Since NOLA is a small market we can’t stand up to the negative PR created by these immature players and adversarial biased big market media.

See where you’re coming from. I think both of them are 4th guards on a good team, but the problem is NAW’s been asked to be the 3rd guard and he’s not ready yet. Kira was really showing up too right before his injury.

Don’t think it’s fair just give up on NAW, Kira and Hayes. All have shown improvement and they’re all ahead of Murphy as of now in their development. Agreed on needing better players, specifically another quality guard.

Hayes is only a month older than Murphy
