You could have a 16 team playoff this year and you'd still end up with Bama UGA as the final. Who wants to watch a bunch of lopsided playoff games? Tonight's games were unwatchable. Y'all want more of that?

Yes, I do

Bama and Georgia would not play every game. You likely get some good matchups. Using the Playoff Rankings, 16 teams gets you this:
Alabama-Oklahoma
Michigan-Iowa
Georgia-Oregon
Cincy-BYU
Notre Dame-Pitt
Ohio State-Utah
Baylor-Michigan State
Ole Miss-Oklahoma State

Sure, they'd tweak the matchups a bit, you'd not see conference matchups in the first rd. But most of those games would be fun, and you know there would be an upset or 2.
And just like we saw with the regular season, you don't always get your best from a team every game. Who knows if Alabama can string 3-4 games together, this year? They won solidly tonight, but it wasn't impressive. A team with a high-powered offense could have scared them.

Yes An 8 vs 9 seed would be watchable.
A 7 vs 10 seed would be watchable.

Better than the cheezit bowl or Idaho potato bowl.

Maybe not a 2 vs 15 but you never know..this year that would have been Michigan vs Iowa. That’s still a watchable game.
