I have been to Switzerland twice. It may be the most beautiful country on earth.
My favorite major city is Lucerne. I also like Lugano and Interlaken.
You want to experience the Alps but you are not a skier? I will tell you how I viewed the most spectacle scenery I have ever seen in my life. From Zermatt we took the cable car to the top of the Klien Matterhorn, the Little Matterhorn, which is the mountain next to and overlooking the Matterhorn. On the way down we stopped at various levels to enjoy the views. For a time there was a violent blizzard going’s on but when it cleared the scenery was incredible. From one side you can see the Matterhorn. From the other you can see Zermatt off in the distance. All around you you are looking down on the snow covered Alps. Spectacular.
