I took my daughter when she was 3, and we had a great time, but I think that 4 or 5 is better.
I am so glad, though, that we took her when she was young enough to believe in the magic: having lunch with all the princesses blew my little girl's mind, because she really believed that she was meeting the real people in the movies.

Again though this is repeated over and over, few things in life you couldn't say the same about.
The only hard part about taking a 2 or 3 year old to Disney is if you have older kids that don't nap. But as said also, even a 6-8 year old that doesn't normally nap will often want a nap in a stroller or bench or ride at disney because between the walking and the excitement they get wore out.
